Enrollment Information

Any student from the age of 14 to 21 is eligible to enroll at SDS. Because SDS is a public school, there is no cost for tuition. Come in any time to meet teachers and tour the school.

Students can enroll in SDS at any time. Because of our unique individualized classes, no enrolling student will ever miss any course content or be behind in classes.

Bringing in any of the following required materials will save time during the registration process:

  • A photocopy of complete Student Immunization Records.
  • A photocopy of the student's Social Security card or Birth Certificate.
  • Academic Transcripts from all high schools previously attended. Sonoran Desert School will provide each student with a transcript request form or will request transcripts if supplied with a signed form.
  • A Withdrawal Form from the student's last high school (if student attended within the last 6 months).
  • A refundable $50.00 textbook damage deposit

In addition, enrolling students need to complete the following:

  • A Student Information Form
  • Acceptable Computer Use Policy Form (parent or guardian signature required)
  • Field Trip Consent Form (parent or guardian signature required)

Once enrolled, students will attend a short orientation, complete diagnostic tests in reading and math, then start their classes with one-on-one help from their teachers--all in the same day!
